Voice editing effects

My friend wants to become an utaite. She has all the supplies already. She just wants to know how to apply certain effects to her voice. I don't really know any of the proper terms, but here are the ones she wants to know.

-The "stammer" effect

-The "compress" effect

-The one seen in the song LUVORATORRRRRY, you know where they start holding out the "te" sound in the beginning

- Autotune

There are several others, but I think that is enough for now. She uses Audacity.

I can't really say, but I asked my friend as she is a mixer. She says that you're supposed to apply various filters to your voice. Tell your friend to experiment with some filters. Eventually she will be able to achieve the right effects.

As for your effects. The ones most commonly used include reverb and pitch-bend (also known as autotune). Reverb sort of gives your voice more "depth" and layers. I sort of get what you mean by "compress" and "stammer" but I'm pretty sure those require filters of some sort.

Good luck to your friend and happy experimenting!
