as one might have already noticed, the past few days, I've been cleaning up the images on our wiki, and it's overall done.
The jpgs/jpegs were all replaced with pngs. As per discussion the images uploaded on the wiki should all be in png instead of jpg/jpeg, so that after wikia's resizing they stay crisp and clean.
To make converting more convenient for everyone, on the side rail on an editing page, one can now find a button in the "Add features and media" next to "Photo". Clicking on it will lead one to a converter page. Make sure, that the quality is set to "Best quality". (One can of course use their own converter as well.)
If someone has further suggestions, please speak up.
Thanks in advance.
