It's not that they have to be super duper popular, but we do have to set borders.
You have to be good to a certain extent to be featured, because this wiki is not a self-promotion site where everyone can promote for themselves/their friends. (Believe me, some people just love to shamelessly self-promote) If there are no borders, everyone could feature themselves No matter how unskilled they might be etc. (leaving the aspect of having luck with being noticed aside)
We have requirements for NND and YT singers as well; and they are not that high either (we always try to figure out representative figures and keep the threshold at a medium range), considering there are so many singers who do qualify with our current set of requirements.
Also Sen is not trying to be mean. There's a difference between saying the truth/one's opinion and being rude. Friend and sister is pretty biased indeed, and the fact with WIPs posted onto SoundCloud is undeniable.
But anyways... We first have to get some examples of decently popular cover singers on SoundCloud to:
- get an overall view of the situation on SC and get representative figures
- we need to know if there are any/many notable singers on SC, so that we know if there's any point in adding them. (We won't do so if there are only say 1 or 2 singers that are decently good)
If you want to get the implementation of SC singer through, you can help giving us more data. (e.g. more examples of singers)
Notes: NND = Nico Nico Douga; YT = YouTube; SC = SoundCloud
I understand that there must be borders, I just listed everyone I could find.
I am going to assume that Starikun is Sen. I am also going to assume this paragraph is directed towards me. I'm pretty slow, so forgive me if I'm wrong about either of those things. I agree with Starikun that I am biased, because I definetly am. I also acknowledge that there are a lot of WIPs on Soundcloud, but I don't think it's fair to say that that's MOST of what is posted (in the way of covers) without knowing.
That sounds good.*is really stupid right now so will probably reply more intelligently later*
I'll do some googleing and ask around and try to find those that changed their names. (That's the one flaw with soundcloud, you can't track anyone by a previous username -.-)
