I always wanted to cover songs but,...
1. I'm scared with copyright laws
2. I don't know where to find the instrumental/Karaoke ones...
3. I don't have proper equipment
4. I don't know how to edit video
So, Should I just forget it?

Hiya!
1. Don't be afraid! You probably wouldn't even get close to commiting something like that and the worse YouTube could do is ban your account. So long as you're using instumentals that are provided by the producer you should be fine.
2. Most instrumentals are actually provided by the producer on Piapro so if you tell me which song you're interested in covering I'll give you a step by step of how to download it and find them in the future :>
3. You don't need to have "proper equipment," there are cheap alternatives per say. Everyone has to start somewhere! Though I have heard that the YouTube singers fanbase can be rather critical of that hmm...
4. If you look on Google I can assure you that you will be able to find many tutorials on how to do this.
Then let me ask you. How much effort are you willing to put into this hobby? You say you want to cover songs but are you trying to do it for fun or for fame? Does the fact that you're questioning your own resolve mean you're not confident enough to see it through till the end?
Remember we're here to give advice, not decide things for you. That is something you can only do yourself.
Thank you very much.... I think,... I'll learn everything step by step,...
I'll support you! And myself too! I wanna be a NND singer! :D
Do you post on youtube?

Where do you find instrumentals for anime songs legally?
I think most anime songs don't have 'free instrumentals'.
Sometimes, in anime albums, they also have instrumental tracks, so the only way to get those legally, would be to purchase the album (or the single tracks, if you can buy them on itunes/whatever.)
