From the songs that I've listened to, I took an immediate interest in them. The structure of the songs are interesting, but one thing that struck me as a little odd was the production of the songs. Some of the songs such as "Sable", "Born to Be", "Dusty Mirror" and I think "Paralyzed" all have a really rich and full sound. The guitars are distorted and cut through the mix, the bass is punchy and the drums are loud and thumping, and there's a lot of emphasis on the instruments this time around. There's also less synthesizers in all of the new songs that are out right now, which is a thing I enjoyed; I felt as though that they synths were making the songs on the previous two albums sound overproduced and gave me some ear fatigue. Songs such as "Scarlet Story", which in my opinion was kind of a weak track, and "Infinity Zero" do have some synths in here, but they're used in a tasteful way. Another thing that really stuck out to me was the songwriting: it felt a lot more influenced by some alt-rock, with a little bit of J-Pop/Rock thrown in there too, making the songs sound a bit heavier. What are your guys thoughts? Tell me if I missed out on a few songs, because those were all that I had the time to listen to.
What do you think?
