I'd like to give it a try and I'm wondering what type she gets.
It appears like a Milk Tea (Creamy) with Tapioca Bobas and it looks to be Chocolate or Milk Flavor. Whether it's Hot, Iced or Blended I don't know.
Anybody got a clue?
Bubble Milk Tea is pretty much one of the basic drinks at tea stores so when someone likes bubble tea, it's usually just plain bubble tea. Kind of how "cheesecake" is a kind of cake, but if you order cheesecake, no one is going to ask you, "oh what kind of cheese do you put in it?" It's just plain old cheesecake and all the cake shops know how to make it. You can find it in tea stores, especially if there is an Asian population in the community or a university nearby (college students in the US really like bubble tea).
Depends on where you live, it will have a different name. In Japan, it's just called Tapioca, whereas in the US, it is called "boba" or "pearls" or something. For example, if you order "boba" in southern California and if you order "pmt" (pearl milk tea) in san francisco, you will get the same thing, and it is the same thing 96Neko drinks.
Chocolate or milk flavor is not a normal flavor for boba/bubble tea/pearl milk tea/whatever you want to call it. I have never seen that flavor available in a store.
No one drinks hot bubble tea, it's always cold and usually has ice cubes. It's sweet (I think it's too sweet) and tastes a bit creamy.
Something tells me my local place is insane. :P
I'll see what I can do. Thanks for the info!
This is the menu I have to work off of if you're curious.
I think because it's in the smoothie menu, I've been decieved on some options...
Since it's a bubble tea/smoothie combined menu, you'd have to just avoid all the smoothie/normaltea options. I don't know what they mean by blended, you could ask.
You'd probably want to pick iced milk tea with tapioca boba.
I actually found a place not much farther down the road that is more sensible when it comes to their menu and is not any more expensive. I'm sure this menu sounds better as it doesn't have a bunch of random crap and Bubble Tea is it's own section.
I now know I need to get a Milk Tea w/ Tapioca Pearls. Thank you Raspomme for your time.
A Random Individual from Ohio. :P
You're welcome! I hope you enjoy your first bubble tea :)
I did! It was well worth the $5 it cost me. :P
What do you think?
