So I made a thread about more than a year ago here.
Even though you guys gave me great advices, I didn't listen to them. I didn't practice to get better and basically half-assed it. I hit rock-bottom a few weeks after that thread and had no motivation to do anything at all. But long story short... lots of suffering, but I have completely recovered from that. Unfortunately, I didn't started to seriously sing and practice until 3 weeks ago because a friend of mine dragged me to karaoke against my own will. It was fun and the people were very supportive, which motivated me to keep singing. Now I'm practicing everyday whenever I can and not cringing at my own recordings anymore.
Anyway, I have two recordings. One was made 2 weeks ago and the other pretty recent. I just want some opinions and direction to improve myself because I feel like I hit a small wall. I don't remember how many recordings I have deleted because they don't sound as "good" or not where I envision. I know my biggest problems right now (imo) is breathing and rhythm. I can work on vocal ranges eventually.
So this one was 2 weeks ago. The last line "Ai wo utaou" I didn't breath before singing that, so that's why it's pretty ear-piercing. I sang this to a piano arrangement of Millenario and it's off-beat btw.
This one I recorded while singing randomly because I can't seem to do it right or the way I wanted with the song playing (both off-vocal and on-vocal). I noticed when I'm singing with vocals, I ended up imitating the vocalists and sounds really bad. But off-vocal, I seem to get nervous(?) and forget lines when I shouldn't and sometimes off-rhythm. In this recordining, my rhythm is off and my voice-style changes over the course of the song like multiple times. This song is Soldier game.
I have talked to a few friends and they gave me their thoughts and all. But I wanted to get more opinion if possible. Thank you guys for giving advices in the past and I'm sorry for not heeding them as well.
