Hello, Megan here. Kony's cousin [yes, it's true]. The one with the blog you linked directly to my post about me talking about him. You know, the post with all the information you guys are wanting to "protect"... that you placed in the NUMBER ONE hot spot [this website & page] people are going to be looking for information on him...??? You guys seriously have had down what phone he uses, how much he weighs, and what languages his father speaks on here as trivia. And I, an unknowing-of-his-occupation-and-excited family member, posted a personal thing about my family member and used his actual name that I know him by and I'm in the wrong? Seems a little hypocritical to me.
While that is true, it's also part of Japanese culture for those who go under an alias to keep their real names a secret. Most of the things on this page are mainly said by Kony himself or at least "confirmed" to some degree by him (Don't quote me on that).
But the main thing here is that Japanese internet celebrities (singers, dancers, etc) like to keep a few things private, their real name being one of them along with information about their personal lives (work, school, family) unless they themseves mention it. It's to help keep their "Online" lives different and seperate from their "Offline" lives and to help make sure both lives don't interefere with each other. Also, even though you are an excited family member and very proud of him, by mentioning personal details about Kony's life, he may feel that his fans may come after you and bother you for details about Kony and use it to blackmail him. If there's one thing Japanese people don't like, it's being a bother to other people.
