Alfakyun.'s ERROR cover

Alfakyun. (あるふぁきゅん。) is a female utaite who possesses a strong and resonant, yet flexible voice. Her voice can generally be described as alternating between sharp and heavy, and soft and silky. She began uploading in June 2013; it would not be long before she rapidly gained recognition, as her cover of Attack On Titan Opening 1 Guren no Yumiya , her third cover, gained over 3 million views on Niconico within only a few months of its release. As of November 2024, her most popular solo cover to date is Buriki no Dance , reaching 4.6 million views on YouTube and 1.5 million on Niconico.

Alfakyun. covers songs of diverse subject matter, and usually adjusts her voice to suit the tone or narrative of whatever songs she chooses. Her voice can range from a high, light and relaxed interpretation for lighthearted or catchy pop songs, to a rough, brittle interpretation for songs with emotionally compelling lyrics. She tends to use a deeper, tense, boyish style when playing masculine characters, and a high, clear style when playing feminine characters. When covering songs that are structured as duets or involve two speakers who are male and female by herself, she switches between these voices with ease. This is present in her covers of How-to Sekai Seifuku and Saikyouiku , where she uses different voices for Neru's characters in place of the original voices. She is also notable for her use of harmonies.

She has shown to be quite playful, sometimes incorporating skits and unconventional harmonies into her covers. A crucial part of what drove her to success were her vocaloid song parody collabs with Cupula - her most popular duet cover being their parody of Shinde Shimau to wa Nasakenai! .

She has been a participant in Gero’s Chang Gero Sonic at the Odaiba Yagai Tokusetsu Kaijou chain in Tokyo in 2018, being one of the 25 utaite to sing in front of a crowd of 5000 people.[2] Since then, she has appeared each year, and is singing alongside other utaite in the songs Mind Craft (2018), Windfall Dance (2019), A Song I Tried to Sing (2020), Jinsei ni Hakushu Kassai wo (2021) and Kao mo honmyou mo shira nakutatte orera tomodachi darou? (2022).
