The XYZ Project is a group of male Utaite who have held yearly concerts since 2015. Although the lineup of the tour changes often, mainstay members include Luz, Kradness, Araki, Meychan, and nqrse, while other male utaite classified as "ikebo" singers also make appearances.
The tour is broken up into two main events: the DJ Style Tour and the Summer Tour, with some gender segregated concerts like the Valentine Day Live in between.
A list of certain collaborations with the XYZ members as of 2019 began as early as August. On December 9, 2019, the XYZ Project Twitter announced a continuation, with a ten-person collaboration pitting the current participants against each other. This event would include duo and trio combinations consisting of ten people: Araki, Shoose, Meychan, Luz, un:c, Soraru, Mafumafu, Senra, kradness, and nqrse, which could be suggested by fans from December 10 to December 16. On December 19, the results were announced on Nqrse's Twitcasting namahousou.
The name XYZ comes from the XYZ cocktail, an alcoholic mixture of rum, orange liqueur, and lemon juice. Likewise, the group gained a collective cocktail motif using martini glasses as symbols and cocktails to represent collaboration. The group's second official song, "CocktaiL", is a reference to this theming.
