Michiko (みちこ) also known Michiko Yamashita (山下道子) as as is a french utaite on YouTube. She has about +2,800 subscribers. She started posting her covers from 2011.
She is a mezzo-soprano who is known to have changed her voice drastically with puberty going from a high, cute voice to a mature, deep voice. She usually sing Hello! Project, Love Live! and anisongs and mostly do group covers than solos.
Michiko usually sing in japanese and french but sometimes in english too. She also does voice acting and her most viewed voice acting video is a non-official"voice acting" on Yuri from Doki Doki Literature Club (+40,000 views). She has a strong voice and her speciality is high notes and she mostly sing them in chest voice. Her first cover ever was actually in 2010 on the song "Legend of Mermaid" but this old channel was deleted by YouTube and this cover is now forever lost. She herself says that her covers became listenable since age 17 (2015) because before that, the quality of her covers was really bad.
She mostly does group cover instead of solos.
Debuts[]
In 2011, after posting her first solo covers on her own channel, she joined numerous now dead forums as Otome!Project, Team French Fandub etc. However, the covers from this era we're mostly really badly mixed covers that Michiko herself won't share anymore. These covers are still available on a secret playlist.
On August 2, 2013, when she had about 130 subscribers and 14,000 views, her channel was deleted by YouTube after an error caused by the new system Google+ and she lost everything. She then reuploded all of her covers one by one on a new channel.
Netidol[]
In December 2016, she joined a cover group named Colorful Characters, this group only sing Morning Musume.'s songs based on official colors and she was given the red color, she sing Abe Natsumi, Kusumi Koharu, Sayashi Riho and Kaga Kaede's parts. After a few months, the group unexpectedly evolved from a basic covergroup to a netidol group. The group began producing two webradio shows : Colorful Radio, a program centered on Colorful Characters and Morning Musume. and Dub Corner, a program first presented by Michiko alone and then joined by her friend Anaa, this program promoted covers from Utaite. The two shows were broadcast on Saturdays on RVV radio and were 2 hours long.
Most viewed video[]
In 2017, she joined AMVF Studio, a group who translate and sing anisongs in french on YouTube. Her most viewed solo "Hero too" from Boku no Hero Academia, is on this channel and has reached +162,000 views.
Live performances[]
Michiko always dreamed to be an idol and she finally performed live as one at Japan Party (Bordeaux in France) on April 14, 2018. After that, she performed at Animasia (10/13/2018-10/14/2018), Foire Internationale de Bordeaux (06/08/2019-06/10/2019), and Japan Tours Festival (02/29/2020). Because of Covid, others events has been cancelled.
