Nanamori's cover of Surii's Ego Rock

Nanamori.×Jel's Original Song: Spire

Nanamori (ななもり) is a namanushi on NND, TwitCasting host before uploading his first cover in November 2015 when he was 20 years old and became an utaite. His Koshitantan quickly got views and reached nearly 75k after one month. He is among new generation utaite known for their TwitCasting shows, love for covering mature songs and getting their first hit with a cover of Umetora's song.

He has a wavering, nasal-like lower throat voice, allowing him to reach various pitches. He seems to prefer singing in higher tones, but he can rich deep tones such as in his cover of ROKI . Along with singing, he can rap and beat-box, as seen in his cover of Isshinfuran . In a much earlier sample of the same latter song, Nanamori could even come up with his own rap to compliment Rinu's singing. He is also a gamer uploading his videos firstly on YouTube and later on NND.

His most popular solo cover is Usseewa with over 2M views on YouTube. His more popular covers are collabs with Strawberry Prince. His former persona has brown hair, and is typically portrayed with purple eyes. His current persona consists in purple hair and purple eyes to represent his purple image colour.

In early 2022, after getting his private life exposed for controversial reasons, he apologized and had to stop his work as an utaite for an indefinite amount of time. In the same year (more specifically, December 2022), he decided to continue solo activities (not as an utaite, but rather) as an occasional streamer on TwitCasting and support Strawberry Prince from behind (in both as "Nanamori" and sometimes as his real name shown in the credits of some Sutopuri videos, Masato Kashiwabara).

Trivia

  • In situations with Strawberry Prince, he is sometimes referred to as "Father" or "Mum". This makes sense, considering he is the leader/founder of the group.
  • He has a cat named Cinnamon and is also obsessed with cats, making an original song showing his love for them.
  • There was an occurrence, shown on his Twitter, where he found a gacha machine with cat head accessories. He had bought so many, that the gacha became sold out.
  • He voices Shinobu Kageno from Yo-kai Watch Jam - Yo-kai Academy Y: Close Encounters of the N Kind.
  • His blood type is A.
  • Nanamori is 170 cm tall.
  • He is born in the Chiba Prefecture (in Soga).
  • Nanamori's real name was rumored to be ''Seiya'' as the name had been mentioned (probably accidentally) during live streams. This was never confirmed to be true by Nanamori himself. In a live stream on TwitCasting on 27/3/2023, he confirmed his real name to be ''Masato Kashiwabara'' and (additionally), has recently been going under said alias to support Strawberry Prince from behind and continuing his work as STPR's CEO ever since late 2022.
  • In a "song" composed and sung by Root (for fun), Root called Nanamori a Shadowverse maniac because he is strong at it and also because he came runner-up in a weekly tournament in the game.
  • Nanamori isn't very good with scary things like ghosts.
  • Nanamori is known to be in charge of the lyrics in most of Strawberry Prince's original songs such as"Streamer" .
  • As Nanamori found Strawberry Prince, he is also the CEO of Strawberry Prince's music label, STPR RECORDS.
  • Vocaloid producer syudou wrote the song Warui Hito for Nanamori to sing. He shares the achievement of having an original song written by syudou for him with other utaite such as Soraru, Satomi, Chogakusei, ACCAMER, Ivudot, Miyashita Yuu, Yukimura., Ado, etc.
    • The song he sings is about the continuation of syudou's Call Girl series, where the childhood friend of the character from that song gets revenge on the character from Call Boy for leading her friend to commit suicide, and kills him, although she is a "bad person" too, hence the title.
