Reol (れをる) is a composer and utaite, known for working with GigaP and Okiku. The trio usually produces different types of works, such as music videos and songs. After working with each other for awhile, they created the unit group RΞOL in 2015, which focused mainly on such works as stated before. Some of the works the group had created are, "Give Me A Break Stop Now" and "YoiYoi Kokon". Although the group has since disbanded due to creative differences , all three are still in contact and are working individually with their own projects.
Reol's singing is said to be high-pitched, raspy, strong, and unique. She can sing in low and high notes, as well as change the strength of her voice in many songs. Her singing techniques also vary throughout the different songs that she sings. Frequently, she autotunes her vocals to fit some of the songs that she sings. Not only that, she also adds a lot of different vocal effects to further enhance the sound of her voice to match a lot of the electronic songs that she covers. Such covers are "Mono Poisoner" and "Red·Purge" .
Her first cover was "Yurufuwa Jukai Girl" which was posted on June 20, 2012. The cover has over 800K+ views on YouTube as of August 2018. Her most popular work is "LUVORATORRRRRY!" , featuring nqrse which has over 30 million views as of August 2018. It was also a collaborative song with GigaP in which she wrote the lyrics. The two had been frequent collaborators on many songs before, and still continue to work together as not only songwriter and lyricist, but also as singer and mixer.
Reol is also known for skills at drawing, as she illustrated the PV for her cover of "Shinkai City Underground" . She often shows her drawing and design in her "Secret Society L". She also can illustrate her own goods.
As of January 9th, 2018, she has signed to VICTOR ENTERTAINMENT as a solo singer and songwriter. She has an official website and fan club called "Secret Society L".
She uses a Shure BETA 58A microphone for lives, and a BETA 87A for recording and aside from that a IF:UA-55. She also uses a Roland UA-55 audio interface, Cubase and FL Studio software, and an Audio Technica M-50 pair of headphones.
Her favorite food is beef, while her favorite drink is the Green Tea Frappuccino at Starbucks.
She also really like nasu no agebitashi (なすの揚げ浸し “deep-fried eggplant in light broth”), salad (サラダ) and jagaimo no shouyuni (じゃがいもの醤油煮 “boiled potatoes in a starchy soy sauce”).
She really likes tomato juice as shown in the picture of it on her Instagram.
According to Soraru, in his official Line account stated "Reol has a sharp tongue but she has a cute side too."
When her fans asked which one does she prefer dogs or cats and she replied that she really likes them both but then she said "maybe for now, I prefer dogs because many people are saying cats look aike me a lot."
Reol said right before she goes on stage, she goes off alone somewhere and meditates in a small place and also hugs or pats her friend on the back to cheer herself up.
Reol said in her live streaming that she had no luck with her iPhone because she always broke it.
Reol says the hardest thing was when it comes to showing her face and anything she dislikes being photographed, fake people, and a photo of her that was posted without permission.
Reol said that she got all her ambition from her inferiority complex.
According to Okiku and GigaP, Reol is an antisocial and mysterious person but in reality she can be a sociable and cheerful person. Cold on the outside but warm on the inside.
Reol has the most different onstage and off stage personality. Onstage, Reol has cool, strong and fierce vibe, while in real life, Reol is playful, mischievous and adorable.
What Reol loves the most is her sleep time, leather jacket, and winter.
She started using her name "Reol" rather than her real name because she wanted to be someone other than herself and also she likes the name "Reol".
She mentioned that the reasoning behind naming the club as "Secret Society L" as "L" is for Listeners (also like the "left hand"), while her initials of "R" is kinda like the "right hand", so both hands (left and right) work together.
She met Giga and Okiku while listening to their works online. She was really interested and liked both Giga and Okiku's creations and wanted to initiate contact with them. Since then, the three have become close.
