Shelley (シェリー) or Shellah is a YouTube singer who originally started in September 2006[3] under the name xWannaBeLovedx, but after her account got frozen she continued on xShellah.

Shellah mainly covers English versions of VOCALOID and anime songs with her own translyrics, as she wants to share Asian music to a Western audience so they can experience Eastern music in a way that they way be more comfortable with.[2] She also likes to dub songs of the cartoon series My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.

Shellah enjoys singing loudly and has a nice strong belting range, and aspires to be the English version of Akiakane as "The Screaming Mermaid".[2]

Her voice is somewhat of the higher mid range type and is defined by being stringy and high tense almost with a rough edge to it, which gives her covers a unique feel. She covers songs of many genres, from her cute "Ren'ai Circulation" or her acoustic version of "1925" to the calming ballad "from Y to Y".

She also likes to cover metal-like songs, as she is a fan of the metal and post-hardcore genres[1]. She is highly capable of skillful growls with hardly any effects added, such as in her cover of "Sweet So Sweet".

Her most popular cover is her English "Me!Me!Me!", for which she provided the translyrics, with over 900K views on YouTube as of July 2016.

Her singing is influenced by Akiakane, Cristina Valenzuela, Amanda Lee, Rachel Robichaud and Maria Brink.[4]
