Ximares is a YouTube singer, that mostly covers Japanese songs, such as from Anime and Vocaloid. A variety of English-based song covers can also be found on his channel. His voice is often described as very low and deep, due to the fact that he's a baritone. However, he's also able to change his vocal type depending on the style of the chosen songs. An example of this would be his cover of "Poison Kiss" (circa 9k views), where he sang as four different singers. He's able to sing extremely low notes, as shown in his cover of "Miku's Extremely Low Range Test", as well as jumping octaves while singing. Ximares is also known for arranging, transcribing and remixing existing songs, which he as well uploads to his YouTube channel. His most known Arrangement is the "Chapter 1 BGM" from the videogame Corpse Party, while his most known Transcription is "Cohen's Masterpiece" from the videogame Bioshock. Besides singing, arranging, transcribing and remixing, Ximares works on originals and instrumentals as well.

His most viewed singing video is his cover of "Miku's Low Scale Test". To test his abilities, he tuned down the instrumental of "Miku's Low Scale Test" by twelve semitones and sang over it, and he called the cover "Miku's Extremely Low Range Test".

Trivia[]

  • Before music he used to game a lot, especially an FPS called "DooM" and online on the multiplayer port "Skulltag", and later on "Zandronum".[2]
  • He started practicing piano in 2010 in the summer after watching people on Youtube play Mario on the piano (and also the song Usatei by IOSYS).[3]
  • He started getting into singing after being encouraged by Melviino and other people in Lilypichu's Raidcall. There were events hosted there called "Karaoke Nights" where people all over the world took turns doing karaoke. At first he was really shy, but people encouraged him to try it out and afterwards to continue singing for fun.[4]
  • His favorite anime is "Teekyuu" (てーきゅう) and he's enjoying it for its "randomness and high energy - "I love it"."[5]
  • On the 12th of September, 2018, he met up with the YouTaite Reoni and they spent wholesome time making puns and holding hands together.[6] They've been dating since June 2018.[7]
  • Likes learning things (e.g. his cooking on Instagram, or practicing new instruments (guitar, clarinet), and learning new languages (like German)).[8]
  • Pizza is his favorite food. Also chicken wings, fries, pancakes, crispy potatoes with baked beans, spaghetti and bacon.[9]
